International Students

First of all, welcome to ESPCI Paris, we are delighted to count you among our students ! In this section, we will try to answer as many of your questions as possible. To contact them you can use the form available here.

 Before arriving to ESPCI Paris – PSL

The International Relations Office, will be your main contact throughout your arrival process. We will be taking care of :
o Admission, housing and scholarship letters
o Reservation of housing and accommodation
o “Some” of your scholarships’ applications see scholarships tab

 VISAS 

It is highly recommended to start your visa application as soon as possible. You will find the application form on the France Visas website.
To obtain the necessary documents for your application, please contact us here.

 WELCOME DESK 

PSL assists foreign students in renewing their residence permit and other information you can contact the Welcome Desk Service.

 INE 

After your pre-registration you will receive an INE number by email. This number will follow you throughout your schooling in France. Please keep it carefully

 HEALTH INSURANCE (social security) 

To obtain free health insurabce in France, you must connect to
https://etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr/ and follow the instructions.
Please bring your birth certificate with you. It will be useful for different organizations

Please note that there are two types of health coverage, social security on the one hand, which is free and compulsory, and « MUTUELLE » insurance, on the other hand, which is non-compulsory complementary health insurance but which allows you to cover certain costs that are not reimbursed by social security.

 BANK ACCOUNT 

You are required to get information from banking establishments in France to open a bank account. You are strongly advised to do so as soon as you arrive in France. For more information, you can contact the PSL Welcome Desk
